As you know I have the nose for the news. I recently stumbled upon a scam that is being run on www.meetup.com. If you don’t know what Meetup.com is, it’s a social meeting website. It’s one of those websites where groups get together and meet for activities. It’s a way of reaching out to increase your interaction with like minded interests. However, too good to be true? Well, yes it is. There are people out there running/starting these meet up groups that are stealing your money away and there’s nothing you can do about it. It also appears that the people running Meet Up will not do anything to help you get your money back.
